Have I ever mentioned I love the tea over here? especially with lotsa milk and sugar? I know I have, but this is way too grand..
Going to Camden with Jesse was really fun! We met this designer who makes coats for his Camden place and for Religious Sex in NYC's East Village. I love his work. He's going to design/make a bright pink faux fur knee-length coat especially for Jesse and she gets to pick it up at his home studio next week. Excuse my americana-slang, but it was awesome!
I also finally got a copy of the Manic Street Preachers NME original issue. Sarah bought it for me last year for Christmas, but when she went away on holiday to visit her then-gf, her kitty tore it all up!!! So, I found a copy! for only 4 quid! yay!
I saw Jen reading it earlier and she looked very disturbed. hahahahahaha...
London was better than expected. I honestly had no idea that some of my old friends would show up and we'd be together again. I'm so happy that I got talked into going this weekend. Words can't describe how fun it was. For those who were there, thank you. I loved every minute of it :)
Yesterday I woke up to a man screaming "Oi! You FUCKING cunt!" over and over. Ah, London's glamourous West End. it felt good to be home for awhile. ;)
Then I noticed that it was 1 December and I was sleeping next to a window that was wide open..and I wasn't cold. Well, there's a first for everything.
Jen flew back here to Dublin with me. She told me personal ghost stories and all about The Calanish stones (now I want to go see them) and then she gave me an updated Tarot reading. I got 'The Magician' card as the 'ulimate outcome' again. 4th time this has happened now with this question I have. (FYI, 'The Magician' means you have all the creative energy you need and then some, so use it!!!!)
The strange thing is is that apparently I picked up 'the Magician' card earlier, dropped it, then went right back to it and picked it up as my last card so it'd once again be my ulimate outcome. weird. Sometimes I don't believe in Tarot, but Jen and Manuela could feel this energy and I could too..But yeah, both of my readings from last night look pretty cool and there may even be some (pleasant) 'surprises' for me coming up in less than a year! This is according to the cards, of course...
This more than makes up for my last reading where I got 'The Devil' as my outcome and the very next day something bad happened to me creativity-wise. Um. most of you might know what I'm talking about.
Later today (depending on weather) we're going to Bray or Kilkenny to go to the sea (calling it a 'beach' is just weird, at nighttime in December..), maybe take the advice of
skywayman and see Bono's house (jen is a U2 fan), go to the Irish Writer's Museum or..do something else!
As Jen left to tour the city today as I do my amnesty thing, I asked her 'Will you be alright?' in a very concerned tone of voice. Okay. Jen just spent 2 MONTHS touring the Hebrides and the Isle of Skye on her own. I THINK she's alright. ;)
Sarah, are you in the UK!?!? I emailed you last week from my Amnesty email address, but then we had problems...so I hope it went through...
