Even though sometimes I hate this city, it's always like a former lover, when their absence makes you want to come back for more. I'm back in lust/love with this place.

You wouldn't fucking believe it. Tonight I'm sleeping in the same fucking bed as I did almost a year ago when I first moved to London!!! that's really....weird.

I spent the entire night with Jen, getting pissed up in a pub in Soho, running around acting like 15 year old kids talking about boys from NY and Inverness, Scotland, spending way too much time in Virgin Megastore and eating chippy shop chips wrapped in newspaper around the West End looking at Oxford St.'s Christmas lights. just absolutely beautiful. *sigh*

I talked to my mother briefly today at the airport. She told me 'Your dad and I are going to the Country Club for a turkey dinner.'. I asked 'Why!?!?!' my mother: 'because it's Thanksgiving!' oh, it is. I forgot.

...and I'm finally listening to 'Room on Fire'!! I love it.

The first time I heard 'Is This It?' I admit I wanted to hated it, with all the hype and 'trendiness', it took months of denial to finally get into it.

With 'Room on Fire', it's love at first sight listen.

I was listening to it on the train to Victoria station with this silly grin on my face the entire time. hehe.

Thanks Heather for lending me this album for the weekend! MWAH!

haha you forgot about thanksgiving, if only i was so lucky. actually, i DID get lucky this year cos it was just a nice quick meal but previous hols have not been very cool (it's those relatives... uhh).

but that's not the point of this post, it's about that whole love at first listen thing. it happens to me too. it happens from time to time, when i just fall madly in love with a song. the thing is, i'm a bit of a skeptic about falling in love at first sight.

The only thing I'm dreading at christmastime is having all my relatives ask me 1,039,019 questions about the past year and when I will try my best to explain my life and why I do the things I do, they will never understand. *sigh* I'm going to hate it. I can feel it.

How lucky you are not only to be in a lovely place with a good soundtrack (well, good to you; I'm not a Strokes fan) AND you don't have to be bothered with all the adverts talking about THE BIGGEST SHOPPING DAY OF THE YEAR. *rolls eyes*

Trust me, I didn't choose to become a Strokes fan, it chose me. haha. I tried my best to ignore it and restrain from it for almost a year, ask any of my friends from that time period. ;)

I hate the 'biggest shopping day of the year' adverts...why would any sane person actually go shopping ON that day!?!? That's asking to be in massive crowds, pushing to get that 'perfect item for that person' all day long. I really don't understand mainstream America, honestly!

I'm here just for the weekend and then I'm coming back again before I fly home for christmas! I love it here. <3
