Simon LeBon of Duran Duran sings backing vocals on this song...hehe...last night Robin and I had a Duran Duran fest in our room! Duran Duran is her new obsession, and I'm not complaining. Rio through Ordinary World, going through my CD collection. I recommened "Rio" and "Greatest Hits" to her to start off. eeee...*happy*

Not so happy....last night my mobile died. Not died in I need to re-charge it, but dead as in dead....no more, kaputt, finished, RIP...so as of right now i have no phone number. :( I can sprut some life into it at times but there's no way I can have a conversation or text. Hopefully I can go to T-Mobile and figure out what to do...all my info is on my SIM card and I know that still works so I just need a new phone, right? but if I'm in another country do I need a different SIM card to Top-Off???? or do I can I do that over the phone with my credit card? questions...and frustration.

my mobile was one-of-a-kind...well, not really but it looked like it was made in 1987, if they made small mobiles phones in 1987. and it's purple! purple & black. argh. frustration.

Last night before the Duran Duran fest, Robin and I went to see a special advanced screening of Blackball. It's basically a British version of Happy Gilmore...it has Johnny Vegas and Vince Vaughen in it. not bad. i laughed. it was free so I'm not complaining ;) It reminded me of last year when Liz and I went up to the roof of Brit's Pub in Minneapolis where it's all grassy and they have lawn bowling tournaments and we got drunk and kept attempting to lawn bowl, but never made it..haha..I miss Liz. Right now she's teaching in south China, right north of Vietnam, and afterwards going to Napal and India..then visiting me whereever I am!! yayay!!! Liz, if you're reading this cuz I know you do...I hope you're doing well. xx

i love your list! if i had to do it too i think we'd match up on a few letters.

yah, gsm fones are portable worldwide if they're "Tri-band" . the only country you cant use gsm is japan where they have their own stuff.

you should be able to get a new phone and put yr sim in it w/o problem.

I remember I added you as a friend on here because you were a guy from Minnesota that liked Kylie!! ahahahah..I thought that was very cool. :) then I chatted with you on terra's computer and you were very nice!

You must know I have freakishy good photographic memory...so there you go.

okay. well, I know my mobile doesn't work in the states..but it does in Ireland and France, so I think it's Europe-Only? but considering I'm travelling around hopefully I can put the new SIM card in a phone where I can add more ££'s to it without having to go back to the UK...so yeah I think I'm just going to the shop and seeing what can be done....but any phone won't look as cool as my old retro one.

well i now have 2 spare GSM phones - one that i got in australia which wont work in the states, and one that will work everywhere... so if you find you need a new phone i could prolly ship one or the other to you...

as for the phones, that's a really cool offer. Would it work even with a UK SIM card? I'm so not knowledgable about this...could I have the same phone number? I'm still going to go to the shop and get back to you on it :)

theoretically a sim card is a sim card is a sim card. and a sim card should be able to work worldwide as long as you have a phone that can get onto a network. and your phone # is in your sim card.
for sure you should check with the shop.
and for sure i'll burn you copies of the cds this week - i need to get copies of one of my newer cds to a friend so this is a good catalyst!

yay! I would accept one of your phones right now if I wasn't traveling and not knowing where my address is gonna be for the next few weeks. *L*..but I get it now...kinda *L* so your phone works on any network worldwide and you'd send it to me!?!? that's fantastic! sorry, I can be a bit igornant.....as I said, I'll still go to the shop and let you know. alright? and I'd love copies of those CDs, if you sent them in a few days I'd still get them here in London, at Christina Schirlinger, 31 Store St, London WC1E 7QE, ENGLAND. If it'd be after this week...I haven't a clue cause of travelling/moving, etc. so we'll keep in touch. :)
