I watched Apocalypse Now the other night.....but I came into the film in the last hour, so while everybody else's eyes were glued to the screen and talking about what a masterpiece it was....I was completely clueless.

So, if I don't get the chance to watch the entire film *L* could somebody please tell me what the first 1-2 hours are about so I kinda get it? I know one of you people out there has to know all about it....

because it's been kinda bugging me the past few days. *L*

okay, now I feel semi-stupid but that's alright because
I know I'm not.

okay, that it all...off to lunch.

argghh! i hate it when that happens.

basically, what happens in the beginning part of the movie is that martin sheen's character is sent to vietnam to hunt down a character named Colonel Kurtz who's hidden up off in Cambodia with his own little private army basically. The first 1-2 hours are all about him getting there.

if you don't understand it, you should try and see it again -- it's just basically about what war does to the human psyche.

thank you! *L* I still don't know what "the horror" is all about....but I think I'm going to watch it at some obscure hour this weekend. *L* It'll be perfect to get some privacy around here!

but about half of the people here have moved out! so it's a lot nicer...*sigh*

haha..to be honest, i've never been to a Harvester's either, only seen one in Dulwich. that's it.

All I knowa bout it is that Gaz Coombes worked at one, Tim Burgess used to be obsessed with their decor (weird...) and Liam Howlett and Natalie Appleton dine there to be "normal". I vomit to that!

so that's the product of being in the States and your only British culture is reading UK music mags :p hehhe
