Anyway, first of all, I'd like to thank <nobr><a href="http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user="prettymouth"><img height="17" border="0" src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif" align="absmiddle" width="17"></a><b><a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/prettymouth/">prettymouth</a></b></nobr> for being there for me since my dog passed away and for understanding *hugs*
Also, I talked to Nicky on Saturday and it was nice to talk to him, and I will be around to play/write music *L* no worries.
I'm going to London to be in a band, and get somewhere. Why would I be this determined to live in London if I didn't want to be in a band and do what I want to do with my life? Seriously, I'm going there for a reason. London as a city is the best place for me to think and express myself creatively and all my fav. bands (even if they're American) are bigger in the UK than here. Therefore, I have to do this. As that psyhic told me *L* I was "born to do
this." *L*
Oh yeah, FYI, if anybody here listens to The Base (I'm on their mailing list now just because I emailed with their lead singer a few times *L*) they are now called "Metro Riots"...currently touring the London gig circuit. yup.
and *finally* a few companies in London have contacted me about jobs!!!! (daytime jobs so I can pay rent, etc *L*) YAYAY!! At least it's SOMETHING. I hate applying for jobs and then you hear nothing, like you don't even exist. hate it.
I love Whole Foods. yum. I'm drinking Italian Lemon Soda, it's Bibita Naturale D'Italia..*L* love it! Whole Foods in the best!!! yes.
I wanted a shirt that said "El Gato del noche" (the cat of the night in Spanish) at Heartbreakers, but it was $30! For a T-SHIRT.
Then I found really fab shirts that said....who knows what *L* in French and those were $58!!!!!!
Why is that if they put a "foriegn" language on a shirt that means they can jack up the price, and why is French $28 more expensive than Spanish!?!? so fucking stupid.
I'm sorry, but I'll stick to Everyday People where I can get a vintage t-shirt for $5 *L*
If I can find the "last nite" single I still want to put that image onto a makeup bag!
and don't forget the Ramones, Strokes, Moz and
Duran Duran pillows!!! Oh, the fabness....I need iron-on paper.
If we sold those at Innocent & Vain I think they'd go like crazy, IMO :)
I think I'll start with the NY Dolls though, considering I *do* I have them on 12" vinyl, so that'd be easier.
I think that the Frank and Julio version of "The Summer Wind" is better than the org. version with just Frank *L*...Julio adds that 'latin lover' smoothness....*LOL*
If my mom ever finds out Im listening to Julio I will never hear the end of it...considering I made fun of her all through my childhood for
liking him..
I remember my first dog, Tiny, would walk really fast around the kitchen table right to the beat when my mom played his music. mwahahhahaa....aww..poor Tiny. :)
that's all for now. ta.
