I stayed up until 4am last night talking to my Parisian friend, Jean-Filip about the war (we were watching SkyNews and the Saddam thing all night) and religion. He was trying to convince me that we needed the war for purely geopolitical issues. hm, okay Jean. ;) I didn't bother to tell him I went to the anti-war protests in London.

The Amnesty party on Friday was a blast! I got free drinks, free food, people gave me going-away presents (thankyou!) and of course, wearing christmas crowns from our christmas crackers....the attire consisted of tiaras and feather boas! Some of the guys were even wearing them! It was an all around fantastic night. :) I wish I brought my camera, esp. for the men dancing to Iggy Pop in tiaras and boas. heh.

It a very surreal way it felt like it was my birthday, again. strange. but very cool. I made some really cool friends.....of course I'd make them now and not when I first got here, but hey, whatever. I have their email addresses, etc. *shrug* I knew that I'd met a lot of cool people a few days before I go. That always happens to me.

It's the most surreal day, It hasn't hit me that i'm leaving....that in a little over a week I'll be in a surrounding I haven't been in for almost a year, it'll look exactly the same, but I'll be and my life will be completely different. It's kind of scary, to say the least. I always expect the worst, and hope for the best. that's all I can ever do. I'm just thinking about this week, and not beyond that!

Well, along with dropping off my extra belongings at Oxfam, now I'm going to meet up with Heather downstairs! awwww....:/

Then tonight I'm off to Wales!!! <333

he saddam thing really upsets me. not because i thought he was a great guy, but because now there's no hope of getting bush out of the presidency, meaning more pollution, more tax cuts for the very rich, more destruction of the public education system, and more christianity worked into our legal system. hooray.
sigh. at any rate, have fun in wales!
