Well, with no previous experience in 4 track systems except for one night in Dallas, TX a year ago......I think that digital is the way to go, personally, because then the CD is there for you...
I really don't want to do the cassette way...but Nicky says that analog sounds better....??? but neither of us have actually bought a system like this before.
