a beautiful voice from far away

Today was another rollercoaster ride. I went to a job interview and of COURSE there's no jobs for me, even though I'm "over-qualified". does that make any sense? not to me.

During this girl I know's interview (she lives here) he kept telling her about how because she's "not blonde" or have the "right look" PR/media companies here in London have the right to fire you.

With my interview he didn't mention ANYTHING about looks and getting fired..in fact he wants a photo of me. o-kay.

In the States that's sexist and against the law, but it seems like it's not here..unless he's just a sexist pig. We don't know yet.

That combined with lateness of trains, hoards of people everywhere I go, and overall stress with the $$ issue..I was SO cranky..

but then this evening i phoned home and talked to my mom!!!!
Well first I talked to Nicky and expressed my rage (sorry Nick *LOL*) and THEN I phoned my mom.

So after talking to my mom, I feel SO much better.....*heavy sigh*

I needed that.
